Nothing is more important than poetry

Nothing is more 
important than poetry !
the meal is eaten 
the frog and the scorpion are friends 
the equation always begins 
where the architecture ends 
sonnets grow from flowers 
and free verse fills the skies 
couples couplet as couples do 
alliteration always allows alone
and a haiku tells no lies
nothing is more important 
when our eyes can see no more 
the paintings will have lost their gloss 
and blackness will be a blue 
poetry will echo in my skull 
the only thing always true .
